Cyber crime for dummies

Cyber crimes are crimes that use computers and networks for criminal activities, and can be basically divided into 3 major categories : cybercrime against persons, against property and against government. - Source

There are two types of cybercrimes. The first type often happens once to the affected party, such as the act of opening an email and get a link to a hostile website, or receiving viruses, Trojan horses, keyloggers by accident. The second type is a series of relentless actions with the objective, such as criminals communicating via instant messaging servives. - Source

3. Financial crimes, eg: computer fraud
4. Online gambling
5. Cybertheft
6. Online harassment
7. Cyber contraband
8. Virus, malware, denial-of-service attacks
